Public bug reported:

Hardware: HP Victus 15-fb3xxx, Ryzen 7 (AMD Phoenix4), RTX 4050 Max-Q Mobile
OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, kernel 6.17.0-1011-oem

Problem:
HDMI port (connected to RTX 4050) does not work in any NVIDIA mode.
With prime-select on-demand or nvidia, GDM3 fails to start (black screen).
Error in dmesg: "nvidia-drm: cannot find any crtc or sizes"
Only prime-select intel works but HDMI is disabled.
Screen goes black after suspend/resume with NVIDIA drivers active.

Expected: HDMI works with second monitor using NVIDIA drivers.
Actual: GDM3 crashes, black screen, system freezes on boot.

Drivers tried: nvidia-driver-550, nvidia-driver-580
Modes tried: prime-select nvidia, on-demand, Wayland with GDM3, LightDM
All result in black screen or GDM3 crash.
