Hi David!

From what I can see, it looks like the Fortinet/FortiClient VPN
integration for GNOME may be heading toward discontinuation. It is also
not working on Debian 13, and based on the current situation, it likely
won't work on Ubuntu 26.04 either.

As a workaround, what I've been doing is using 'openfortivpn' directly
from the terminal.

First install the package:
sudo apt -y install openfortivpn


Then connect to the VPN using:
sudo openfortivpn <host> --no-dns -u <username>


This has been working reliably for me so far.

Unfortunately, it seems the GNOME NetworkManager plugin is no longer
being properly maintained.
