Hi jbicha,

A Mozc package fixing LP: #2141869 has recently been uploaded, and I am
currently waiting for it to migrate to the release pocket. While
checking the migration status, I noticed that this bug has the **block-
proposed** tag.

My understanding is that because of this tag, the Mozc package cannot
migrate from `-proposed` to the release pocket. Could you confirm
whether that understanding is correct?

Also, does this mean that Mozc is currently considered not acceptable
for 26.04 unless this issue is resolved?

While looking into this issue, I also checked the related Debian bug
reports. It appears that the existing GTK3 patch works under Wayland,
but there are reports that it does not work correctly under X11.

If we can make the patch work under X11 as well, would applying the
existing GTK3 patch (with fixes) be an acceptable direction for
resolving this bug?

Finally, I would like to test Mozc under X11 on resolute (without
GNOME?) to investigate the issue further. Do you have any
recommendations on the best way to do this in the current development
environment?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
