Having both old and new desktop file names in the file is as far as I
know not supported. I think that reverting is also not a good idea. The
Seahorse developer told me last week that the new release is planned and
will probably happen soon(ish). (It was supposed to happen months ago,
but was delayed due to some personal matters of the developer.)
