Hi hannsofie, Thank you for your time and consideration, and sorry for the delay, I've been busy. I just run your command, and send a bunch of information to Launchpad.
It is a brand new fresh install of Kubuntu I did last week or so. A dual boot next to a win11 OS. The touchpad works properly under win11, but it never worked properly on the kubuntu 24.04 OS. (BTW, The laptop is also brand new and has been bought a month ago.) Just after this fresh install of Kubuntu, the touchpad was NOT functioning properly: the click was OK, but I was unable to move the cursor at all. After launching a libinput record (or debug, I don't remember exactly) I saw the red lines saying "PIXA4812:00 093A:4812 Touchpad: kernel bug: Touch jump detected and discarded.". Once I Added /etc/libinput/local-overrides.quirks with [PixArt 093A:4812 Touchpad] MatchName=*PIXA4812* MatchUdevType=touchpad AttrPressureRange=2:1 the cursor started moving but with heavy stuttering. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2143915 Title: PIXA4812:00 093A:4812 (Acer Swift SFX14-73G): repeated touch jump causes severe cursor stuttering To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2143915/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
