Repro is easiest by pinging the router (192.168.1.1) while running Speedtest on
2.4 GHz. Router-ping spikes (100–260ms) + occasional packet loss show it’s the
Wi-Fi hop, not the ISP.
Switching to 5 GHz removes the spikes (router-ping stays low, 0% loss).
Mitigation that helped:
options rtw89_core disable_ps_mode=y
options rtw89_pci disable_clkreq=y disable_aspm_l1=y disable_aspm_l1ss=y

β€œ2.4 GHz under load: avg ~44ms, max ~263ms, ~0.6% loss; 5 GHz under
load: avg ~3ms, max ~25ms, 0% loss.”
