Repro is easiest by pinging the router (192.168.1.1) while running Speedtest on 2.4 GHz. Router-ping spikes (100β260ms) + occasional packet loss show itβs the Wi-Fi hop, not the ISP. Switching to 5 GHz removes the spikes (router-ping stays low, 0% loss). Mitigation that helped: options rtw89_core disable_ps_mode=y options rtw89_pci disable_clkreq=y disable_aspm_l1=y disable_aspm_l1ss=y
β2.4 GHz under load: avg ~44ms, max ~263ms, ~0.6% loss; 5 GHz under load: avg ~3ms, max ~25ms, 0% loss.β -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2145121 Title: rtl8852be rtw89: 2.4GHz latency spikes/packet loss under load; improved with disable_ps_mode + disable_clkreq/ASPM To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2145121/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
