Daniel Letzeisne: That is completely fair. Is there a way that unsupported header version could be the output instead of the more generic error 10? e.g. test for what is supported and error out with above if version > suppported?
I assume this would be a low priority even if possible, but there appear to be years of questions and versions concerning nvidia and error 10. Thus other lazy folks like me that didn't read the release notes and followed the automated request to submit an error report may be headed off at the pass and would have not wasted others time and effort with a bug report. With all sincerity, thank you for the time and effort. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2146300 Title: package nvidia-dkms-570-open 570.211.01-0ubuntu0.24.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: installed nvidia-dkms-570-open package post- installation script subprocess returned error exit status 10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-570/+bug/2146300/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
