Public bug reported:
We tested the Ubuntu 26.04 beta image and looked at the new OOBE screen
for dark vs light mode.
However I don't think it's doing a hard enough job at suggesting dark
mode. Two things stand out:
1) The message is not assertive at all about OLED power consumption.
We emphatically know light mode consumes more power. We should not be
wishy washy.
2) It's not mandatory to pick a mode.
A user flying through the screens can just press finish and might miss
the detail about light vs dark and power consumption. I have two
suggestions.
A) Can we have "nothing" selected, at least when OLED is found? Then the user
has to read and pick.
B) Can we have "dark" selected if OLED is found? Then the user who flies
through gets the mode we want.
