Same problem. Cannot detect actual state of backlight. Cannot detect action key (F9) that cycle backlight state from high, low, off. Cannot catch backlight on/off event. Backlight working after key on internal keyboard pressed.
- Model: HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 - Product code / board: 827D - BIOS: P80 Ver. 01.51 - BIOS date: 2025-03-19 - OS during testing: Linux Mint 22 - Kernel during testing: 6.8.0-107-generic My intention, which I did not achieve, was to turn on the keyboard backlight by touching the touchpad.
