Thanks for the bug report. It sounds like you are describing bug 1873052
and maybe some combination of bug 2004104 or bug 1875285. Please check
those bugs so we can confirm which of the existing issues this might
relate to.
Also Wayland is recommended for AMD graphics in Ubuntu 24.04. And
starting in Ubuntu 25.10 there is no option to use GNOME on Xorg
anymore. So if you have any problems with Wayland causing you to use
Xorg then please ensure you have opened separate bugs about those.
