The problem seems to affect primarily (maybe only) RAID devices. I've done some tests on systems that have traditional SATA drives, and they deploy OK. Also, to clarify Michael's earlier point, the problem does not occur on systems that have *ONLY* NVMe drives; a single non-NVMe (RAID) drive triggers the failure, even if it's not the target device for the deployment.
