This is caused by bug 2115148
You are a few kernel revisions behind.
1. Remove the Nvidia driver (i.e. switch to nouveau)
2. Make sure system is fully updated by running: sudo apt update && sudo apt
dist-upgrade
3. Make sure you have linux-generic-hwe-24.04 package installed
4. Reboot and make sure you are running kernel 6.17.0-29
5. Install Nvidia driver
