Adding some information to the record for others. Sorry this isn’t
really helping to fix the whole driver/kernel problem in the Raspberry
Pi/macb/mainline Linux kernel/Ubuntu 26.04 LTS kernel.

I applied the above workaround `sudo ethtool --features eth0 tso off sg
off` on around 2026-05-15 (eight days testing) on two of my four nodes,
no lockups on those two so far

The control group, the other two, continued to occasionally freeze up. I
think one of them two or three times and the other one once. Pretty
light load. Not impressed! The workaround seems to work so today I
applied it to the remaining two nodes. Presumably there’s a cost to
disabling TCP segmentation offload and scatter-gather, in the form of
increased CPU/kernel work? I don’t know how to estimate this. But at
least they’re stable.
