I have a new thinkpad T14s Gen 7 (Intel based), using an up-to-date
26.04 version.
What I think is happening is that the sof-ptl-rt722.tplg from firmware-
sof-signed (2025.12.2-1) was built against ABI 3:29:1, but the available
kernel (7.0.0-15) only speaks ABI 3:23:1.
Ii other words I think the firmware package is newer than the kernel's
SOF driver, so that is porbably happening is a packaging mismatch in
Ubuntu 26.04; the firmware and kernel shipped out of sync.
