Hi — thanks for the clear report. Fixed in commit 37617a02 (byobu 7.6):
byobu-launch now checks [ -z "$TMUX" ] before attempting to autolaunch.
When a new pane or window is opened inside an existing tmux/byobu
session, $TMUX is already set, so byobu-launch skips the nested launch
attempt entirely and the 'sessions should be nested with care' warning
is gone. Closing as Fix Released.
