Thanks for reporting this issue.
Since the security update to CUPS to fix CVE-2026-34990, TCP connections
to localhost aren't automatically accepted as being authenticated. The
cups-pdf package needs to be updated to drop the -h option and connect
using the local socket instead. This change has already been done in
cups-pdf (3.0.2-7) and I will backport the change to cups-pdf in the
Ubuntu stable releases.
