I think this is a duplicate of 2151817 (also re: openssh shortnames
failing in AD), so I am marking duplicate. If you think this is
sufficiently different, please feel free to respond here and flag for
another look.
I have a patch for this (for 26.04, as 26.10 will have the upstream fix)
in a PPA linked in that bug, if that patch helps you please report as
such.
