  A likely (but by no guarantee the root) cause is not using TLS security
  in the test, since failures seem to be correlated with TLS. Though, the
  pattern isn't solid and patches to enforce this that have worked in PPAs
  have failed on local machines.

+ I find it weird that an explicit test dependency is silently being installed 
from amd64 in this case, instead of the test just failing with a missing dep.
