Public bug reported:

SRU Justification

[Impact]

With the patches from EDATEC applied to the Ubuntu r/linux-raspi kernel,
the display works on the 10" display but shows a black screen on for the
7" display. EDATEC determined this to be caused by the missing panel-dsi
fixes that happened recently. Applying the missing fixes solves the
issue.

[Fix]

Pull the fix from upstream Raspberry Pi tree (rpi-7.0.y branch):
  - 1992e3568d0a0 drm/panel-simple: Fix handling of panel-dsi

[Test Plan]

* Compile tested
* Boot tested
* No impacts to existing features found

Install the built packages and the correct config.txt, reboot the
machine and the 7" display should now show actual graphics instead of
just a backlight. The first thing visible should be the boot logo.

[Regression potential]

Relatively low, as change is a bug fix from upstream.

** Affects: linux-raspi (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
