** Description changed: ARM MPAM MBWU (Memory Bandwidth Usage) counters used by the Linux resctrl/MPAM driver can overflow between successive software reads when memory traffic is heavy. The driver previously relied on a software wrap-around heuristic that failed to detect overflows reliably, under- counted bandwidth after a wrap, and did not use the hardware overflow - status bits. Two commits on branch 24.04_linux- - nvidia-6.17-next.mpam.extras.fixes3 fix the issue by using hardware - overflow signaling and preferring wider counter implementations where - available. + status bits. Two commits fix the issue by using hardware overflow + signaling and preferring wider counter implementations where available. Verified on Vera to fix the overflow issues. 1bdbe4582a69 arm_mpam: Use long MBWU counters if supported c7b67e0dd3ac arm_mpam: Consider overflow in bandwidth counter state
