Does clearing the thumbnail cache explicitly need to happen to verify
this? If there is no thumbnailer present on the system from a clean
install, then there shouldn't be anything in ~/.cache/thumbnails/ right?

Just making sure that affected users don't need to manually remove
~/.cache/thumbnails/ or have a postinst script to clear the directory to
get thumbnail generation working on their system.

I just remember what happened in bug 2148074 fresh in my mind, and don't
want to repeat any mistakes from there, and apparmor
4.0.1really4.0.1-0ubuntu0.24.04.7 ended up shipping
debian/nautilus_thumbnail_cache_clear.sh to remove the thumbnail
failures in a postinst script.
