I agree, pyside2 has no dependencies left in stonking AFAICS, nothing happened since it has been pushed back to -proposed by Graham.
It is also removed in Debian in bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1136328 Not the same that is referenced, but the one that did the removal. $ rma pyside2 pyside2 | 5.15.2-1 | oldoldstable | source pyside2 | 5.15.8-2 | oldstable | source pyside2 | 5.15.16-3.1 | stable | source pyside2 | 5.15.18-1build1 | stonking-proposed/universe | source While pyside6 is pretty happy and has all the reverse dependencies now pyside6 | 6.10.2-6ubuntu1 | stonking/universe | source reverse-depends --release stonking src:pyside6 ... a lot ... And after a short surprise why it would only remove the source but no binaries I found that the pyside2 in proposed https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pyside2/5.15.18-1build1 also fails to build on all arches - there is no binary to remove :-) $ ./remove-package -m "ROM; leaf pkg; successor available (LP: #2142877)" -d ubuntu -s stonking-proposed pyside2 Removing packages from stonking-proposed: pyside2 5.15.18-1build1 in stonking Comment: ROM; leaf pkg; successor available (LP: #2142877) Remove [y|N]? y 1 package successfully removed. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #1136328 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1136328 ** Changed in: pyside2 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2142877 Title: RM: pyside2 -- RoQA; unmaintained upstream To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/email-reminder/+bug/2142877/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
