I agree with your analysis: removing lxqt-qt5plugin is the quick short-
term fix, but syncing with Debian names will be a more future-proof one.

I did not rebuild lxqt-qt5plugin for my Qt 5 transition since it's not
installable anyway and only exists in -proposed. So it currently shows
as Bad on the tracker page:
https://transitions.ubuntu.com/html/qt-5.15.19.html. But since it's only
in proposed, it should not really be a blocker.
