I did a quick test on Noble 24.04 and see that tmux reads
.config/tmux/tmux.conf
I place random contents in the .config/tmux/tmux.conf and at start, tmux
complains about it, that means the file has been opened and read by
tmux.
Can you provide more insights about the problem you see at your side ?
