** Description changed:

  Fresh Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, snapd 2.75.2+ubuntu26.04.2. After snap install
- alacritty --classic (which also pulled core22), all eight XDG folders
- (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, Public, Templates,
- Videos) became symlinks pointing to their own absolute path, e.g.
- Downloads -> /home/USER/Downloads, making them inaccessible.
- ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs appears to have been rewritten during the snap
- operation. Removing the links and running xdg-user-dirs-update --force
- restores them. Does not happen with .deb installs. Symlink mtimes match
- the snap-install completion time exactly. Reproduced by others on 26.04
- with unrelated snaps.
