Hi Guys,
it seems, that the activation problem of HAL is related to a missing
update of the HAL module. When I installed Hardy (Alpha 3), it installed
with version 2 of HAL and the system update was not able to run due to
some calculation problem. I fixed this with a "manual" update with the
software updater. But on the other hand, the "eth0 problem" is the same
with me - as a workaround, I inserted an rc- script after the network
rc- script.
