Attaching the workaround we validated: a disable_status module parameter
that never arms the status interrupt endpoint (no events, no worker, no
deadlock). Verified across repeated control-access stress on camera
firmware 5.15.1.55 and 5.17.3.10. This is a mitigation, not a proper fix
— async controls stay pending forever

** Patch added: "workaround: module param to skip arming the status endpoint"
