I'm running into the same issue ever since the upgrade to 26.04. I had "Web" disabled in the search settings for a while already but the issue remains.
`gnome-extensions info [email protected]` Tells me it is still enabled and active. So either it's not the same thing or the state in the UI is not the same as CLI. I'll give disable through CLI a go. Since it's not easy to reproduce the issue, it happens "randomly", I'll give it a week to report back, if the issue does not occur again before that.
