Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
A week or so back I started my computer and stared down a kernel panic.
I should have take more notes.
I fixed it (got past it) by booting into a previous kernel version and
running something like update-initramfs and update-grub. All seemed fine
until there were updates to do. Updates still seem to work, I don't get
a kernel panic anymore. But now every time I do an update I get the
message in the title of this report. Here's the full version

Looking into bug report 2161199, I took some steps there and it seems I
need to make a new report, and here we are.
