50.0-0ubuntu1, Wayland session. Dual monitor setup: PLN 22" (HDMI-1) +
Hewlett Packard 23" / HP V241 (DP-1), both 1920x1080.
Steps to reproduce:
Start a RemoteDesktop/ScreenCast portal session (via ConnectWise
ScreenConnect's Linux client) with only 1 monitor active — works correctly.
Enable the second monitor while the session is active, OR start the session
with both monitors already active.
The "Remote Desktop" portal permission dialog appears; select a monitor and
click Share/Allow.
Expected: Screen-cast stream starts normally for the selected monitor(s).
Actual: The requesting application hangs indefinitely and never receives
a stream; it does not respond to further input and does not exit
gracefully (requires SIGKILL). This reproduces consistently regardless
of which monitor is used, at any matched refresh rate (tested 59.934Hz
and 60Hz), and independent of monitor position/arrangement. Reproduces
both when 2 monitors are active at session start and when the second
monitor is hot-plugged mid-session. A gnome-shell/mutter point-release
update (50.1-0ubuntu1 → 50.1-0ubuntu1.1 / 50.1-0ubuntu2 →
50.1-0ubuntu2.2) did not resolve it.
Relevant journal log lines:

Workaround: Keep only one monitor active during any RemoteDesktop/ScreenCast
portal session.
