I don't know if it's the same bug, but, the backlight doesn't turn on after resume from suspend, and, brightness controls do-not work when the display is on (i.e. before suspend-resume cycle).
Last good version: 7.0.0-27-generic Problem kernels: 7.0.0-28-generic, 7.0.0-29-generic (as TESTED on both) I have a dell Inspiron 7000 Gaming series laptop. Intel 7700HQ processor and nVidia 1050 Ti Graphics Card (using proprietary nvidia driver 580). Logged in to: KDE plasma 6.6.5 wayland ---- How I tested 7.0.0-27-generic is working: I selected that version in GRUB from advanced selection. (Need to check that the brightness controls and suspend-resume is fixed because using old kernel OR nvvidia driver not loaded.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2161309 Title: Backlight regression To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2161309/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
