Yeah, that's generally the difference between stuff in "main" and stuff in "universe" (like this package). The latter is "community supported", so it's largely down to whether anyone's subscribed to the package's bugs.
Given that virtualenvwrapper is something I still rely on day to day, I figure I should probably be subscribed to its bugs, so I've made a vague effort to tidy things up for now.
