Public bug reported:
The boot process stops in BusyBox initramfs with:
Gave up waiting for root file system device.
ALERT! UUID=3b576797-6d3e-400a-b1a2-e6034a7a5e64 does not exist.
(initramfs)
The same machine boots correctly with Linux 6.14.0-37-generic.

Still fails with
ALERT! UUID does not exist
USB keyboard
Apple USB keyboard is detected normally under Linux 6.14.
Inside BusyBox initramfs of Linux 7.0.0-28 it is not usable.
Regression
Linux 6.14.0-37-generic:
Boots successfully.
Linux 7.0.0-28-generic:
Always fails before mounting the root filesystem.
This appears to be a regression introduced between Linux 6.14 and Linux
7.0 on Apple iMac16,1 hardware.
Additional information
The system also has a separate ALSA bug regarding the CS4208 audio codec
(Kernel Bugzilla #221835).
This boot failure is independent of the audio issue.
