Hi Krystian, I attempted to install the mainline v7.2-rc5 kernel as requested, but the installation fails immediately. The .deb packages for the linux- image and linux-headers are throwing a run-parts: missing operand error during the pre-installation and post-installation scripts, which forces dpkg to abort the process.
Because the mainline packages themselves are broken and failing to unpack, I cannot test if this upstream kernel resolves the original bug.
