Hi Mustafa, Thank you so much for the testing you've done for us, it's been invaluable so far for getting this issue fixed!
I can confirm I can reproduce the error you're seeing on 6.8.0, but this does not seem to be a regression with the proposed package specifically, as I can also reproduce this on broadcom-sta-dkms 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.2 (the version generally available in the Noble updates pocket today). I actually think it's because you're missing some 6.8.0 modules on your system. Can you confirm whether or not you have the following packages installed? And if not, could you try installing them to see if that fixes the issue for you? (This fixed this issue for me on my VM) -linux-modules-6.8.0-138-generic -linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-138-generic A quick and easy way of making sure you have all the dependencies you need would be to install them through the `linux-image-generic` package, or in other words running `sudo apt install linux-image-generic`. That package install should pull in all the dependencies you need here (and possibly fix your graphical environment issue as well). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2161038 Title: broadcom-sta-dkms fails to build with kernel 7.0 HWE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta/+bug/2161038/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
