Hi Ed, Seyeong and I actually started going down this rabbit hole, but we didn't find the bottom.
If you look at caracal-staging, you see that it contains bobcat's / mantics gnocchi packages, and not those from noble. How strange! Seyeong and I came to the conclusion that whatever robot that looks for new packages in the archive and backports them to UCA obviously has a list that it looks for, and it seems to be dropped from caracal's list. The updated package landed in yoga-staging though, so it still seems to be finding its way there. Seyeong and I went through all the repositories under https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-cloud-archive/, but we couldn't find such a list.
