Thanks. This is my first bare-metal Ubuntu installation on this laptop. My previous Ubuntu installations were only in virtual machines, so I do not have a known-good bare-metal kernel version. I also retested 7.0.0-30-generic with the internal eDP display configured as the only primary display. Deep suspend still failed in the same way: the internal display remained black and the external display showed only the wallpaper. Therefore, the external monitor being primary is not the cause. s2idle still resumes normally. I can test 7.0.0-28.28-generic first and report the result. For 7.0.0-2.2-generic, please provide the exact package source and any Secure Boot/NVIDIA module instructions
