One more thing worth mentioning - this only started happening after I
started using these settings (and SCX_SCHEDULER=scx_lavd), so this might
help to reproduce the crash / put pressure on the memory subsystem:

vm.page-cluster=0
vm.watermark_boost_factor=0
vm.dirty_background_ratio=5
vm.dirty_ratio=10
vm.swappiness=25
vm.vfs_cache_pressure=50
vm.watermark_scale_factor=75
vm.min_free_kbytes=262144

(I believe vm.page-cluster=0 and vm.watermark_boost_factor=0 are
probably a pretty significant factor)
