Andreas, my best understanding: a) It will present an update and continue to use 470 driver. The version bump will make users download it and install it but in practice it is just an artificial version bump.
b) If they are affected they will need to revert the change through some other mean, such as ubuntu-drivers or installing manual. I think this answers The special action needed. Aaron, No action planned for the 535 drivers. The hardware that is supported on 535 is also supported on 580. This behavior will also be documented as per #54 3).
