Given that this cp -a bug caused dh_install to silently set executable permissions on non-executable files during package builds (as seen in LP: #2158649 with dracut and kunifiedpush), doesn't this imply that a full archive rebuild—or at least a targeted audit of packages built while the broken rust-coreutils was active—is necessary to catch all corrupted file permissions across Stonking?
