Hi Andreas, thanks for the review and sorry for me messing up here. I have a few questions before I get to fixing to avoid meaningless changes.
1) The initial wording is misleading, it should've been a `backport to resolute` to bump 1.0.1 in resolute to 1.0.4. From how you describe it, it requires 3 separate bumps (1.0.1 to 1.0.2, then 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 and then 1.0.3 to 1.0.4) or am I misunderstanding here? If this is required, is there a better way to do such a "multi-version jump" in one go? I see that I have not mentioned it in the bug description yet, but would mentioning the intended jump from 1.0.1 to 1.0.4 have been enough, in such a situation? 2) A question: "grow a task for ubuntu-cuda-packaging-tools" means that I should simply link ubuntu-cuda-packaging-tools to the respective bugs? - LP: #2155655 cuda 13-3 required adjustments (we require the adjustments in the tooling, to avoid autopkgtests failing due to changes in the CUDA packaging. This is the reason why its not yet in the archive to avoid autopkgtests in an initially failing state). - LP: #2155233 cuda-crt bugfix 3) The new binary package is mentioned, but I agree that with no pre- knowledge it does not read that way - 1.0.2ubuntu mentions the unified get-orig-source script as a new binary package which is ubuntu-cuda- packaging-tools. Should I make this more visible in the SRU template, since I fear that changing the changelog will cause a lot more confusion (and should not be done anyways) 4) The adjustment to the SRU template to be from the ubuntu-cuda- packaging-tools POV means describing all the changes we did akin to a more verbose changelog or justifying how all the changes are required for the SRU? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164908 Title: SRU: Update to upstream 1.0.4 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-cuda-packaging-tools/+bug/2164908/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
