For "gcc -m32" case and others affected toolchains, this still needs to be handled as the default include paths are incorrect when gcc-multilib package isn't or can't be installed... The "temporary" symlink from "/ust/include/asm" to "/usr/include/asm-generic" has to go away permanently in favour of updating the default include paths in affected binary packages when targeting i686 or other 32-bit multilib architectures. As I mentioned earlier, this likely necessitate adjusting dependencies or contents of some packages.
Personally I don't care if Ubuntu or Debian fixes it first as long as it is fixed in a clean and permanent way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774215 Title: include/asm missing - change "Suggest" to "Depends" on gcc-multilib To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clang/+bug/774215/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
