Happy to run any system checks that might be requested . . . . I have heard this, "You can't do that in Ubuntu" a number of times over many years of doing it, on now a fair number of machines . . . with really no impact on the operation of the OS. Along with the apt dist- upgrade, each time I run autoremove, autoclean and then clean . . . no errors showing up. Of course often it is the case that "pilot error" is involved, usually when trying to make a move of some type. But, my thing is "multi-boot" so I have now 8 or 9 installs running on this machine, so I am moving from one OS to the next, no time to mess around with any of them. If a problem shows up I try to report it. As far as running stonking for 245 days . . . no idea, I try to be an early adapter, within a few weeks of a distro becoming available I upgrade to it, which would be many, many months before I could run "do- release-upgrade" . . . . If a system blows up I run a fresh install into / . . . so far Lubuntu has not blown up, but finding there are a few problems . . . that are showing up in it. For now I am fine running X . . . .
