Public bug reported: Currently on RISC-V we build Stubble with default architecture flags matching the RVA23S64 profile. This leads to the generation of vector instructions.
Neither Linux KVM nor EDK II enable vector support. Therefore a crash occurs when hitting the first vector instruction. Please, apply the patch in https://github.com/ubuntu/stubble/pull/91 to resolve the issue. ** Affects: stubble (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2168688 Title: RISC-V kernel crashes in VM when using KVM To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/stubble/+bug/2168688/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
