Public bug reported: rust-gst-plugin-gtk4 is currently built with:
--features gtk_v4_20,x11egl,x11glx,waylandegl,dmabuf GNOME now builds it with the v1_28 feature too [1], matching Fedora. This enables the udmabuf allocator: zero-copy buffer sharing between CPU and GPU, which notably speeds up video playback with software decoders. Stonking has gstreamer1.0 1.28.7, so the feature is satisfiable. The change is a one-liner in debian/rules: --features gtk_v4_20,x11egl,x11glx,waylandegl,dmabuf,v1_28 The Debian maintainer plans the same change but is holding the Debian upload until gtk4 migrates to testing.
