Disabling the tiling assistant did the trick. Compared to the potentially related bug, on my machine, the offset seems equal to the grab point. If I grab the window almost at the top-left tip and drag toward the right side, for instance, the would-be position is correctly visualized with the orange square window, but the window is offset such that the point I grabbed will be anchored to the upper right corner of the screen. The issue also affects the left side in equal measure. My ultrawide is 3440x1440.
