I have systems with AMD HWK CPUs, and I am encountering the same reboot issue
after upgrading to 24.04 HWE kernel 7.0 + linux-firmware 0ubuntu3.1
Without firmware update (0ubuntu2.27), reboot works fine. After upgrading
firmware to 0ubuntu3.1, issue occurs.
Note:
- linux-firmware-amd-graphics is the latest 0ubuntu3.3 version.
- 6.17 oem kernel - DCN version in use is 3.1.4, display core version v3.2.340
- 7.0 hwe kernel - DCN version in use is 3.1.4, display core version v3.2.369
- When issue happens, only way to recover is to press power button to force
shutdown
Do you know what might be the problem?
