Upstream has taken both commits into the 1.6 stable branch:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/merge_requests/3033
(merged 2026-10-01 as 8d44db1b4 and 682b97101, cherry-picks of
eec372ba9d50 and ddab12a5aac5 from master). No release has them yet;
1.6.9 and earlier do not.

I've prepared debdiffs for both series:

* stonking: pipewire_1.6.8-1ubuntu4.debdiff, on top of 1.6.8-1ubuntu3. Both
patches apply unchanged.
* resolute: pipewire_1.6.2-1ubuntu1.3.debdiff, on top of 1.6.2-1ubuntu1.2. The
first patch needs a small context change in
spa_bt_device_supports_media_codec() (in 1.6.2 the HFP early return sits after
get_codec_target_profile()); the second applies on top.

Both patches carry DEP-3 headers pointing at the upstream commits. Both
source packages unpack with all patches applied, and the bluez5 plugin
builds from them without warnings; I have not done a full package build
or a runtime test. The SRU template in the description still applies.

Could a bug supervisor add a stonking task? I'm subscribing ubuntu-
sponsors.

** Patch added: "debdiff for stonking (1.6.8-1ubuntu4, on top of
1.6.8-1ubuntu3)"
