Thanks for testing and confirming that the original kernel issue is fixed. Regarding the green/dummy-frame output: the quickest workaround I found is to disable the privacy-shutter event handling for IMX471 by setting the corresponding privacyShutterEventType and privacyShutterEventCode values to -1 in the CamHAL sensor configuration. With those values disabled, CamHAL no longer takes the privacy-shutter/dummy-frame path and the camera can produce the real stream. However, this should be considered a workaround rather than the actual fix. The underlying problem is in the CamHAL privacy-shutter/input-event path and how frames are buffered/handled when that mechanism is enabled. Fixing it properly requires changes to that part of the camera pipeline rather than just disabling the privacy-shutter events, so it is a non-trivial userspace fix. In any case, this is separate from the original SONY471A duplicate software-node / -EEXIST kernel bug, which 7.0.0-39 appears to fix correctly.
