~azinin: we don't have a VMWare host with HGFS to test this change. Would you be willing to verify the fix once it lands in the -proposed pocket? If so, I can prepare the uploads (the patches need refreshing because of new changes but I can work on that).
On the other hand, we have Final Freeze coming in 2 days though - it's likely we will fix this once the new development release is open, and then SRU to stonking/resolute.
